Proficiencies are a sylesti's strengths and capabilities in battling or missions. There are six elements of the Proficiency Trees: Wind, Earth, Fire, Water, Light, and Shadow. Each Element has their own unique moveset, which consists of one Attack, and four Finishers. All of these moves can be ranked up to make the Attack/Finisher more powerful or easier to use. Each Element also specializes in a role in battle, whether it is chosen or not.

Wind is one of the elements of the Proficiency Trees. It's all offense on a single enemy, which makes it ideal when battling Bosses, as most of them do not have companions, although Razor Wind (Rank 5) hits all enemies. It's recommended stats are Strength, Dexterity, and Health. Strength boosts Physical Damage, which the Wind Element uses, and Dexterity raises the chance of a Critical Hit, the Accuracy Bonus, and the Quickness rating, which would enable the Sylesti with this element to be able to deal great amounts of damage at a time.

Earth is one of the elements of the Proficiency Trees. It's mainly defense, which means that it can withstand a lot of damage and increase defense for itself. Its attack power, however, is pretty weak, but it's ideal for a first element for a starter pet. In battle, it taunts enemies into attacking themselves rather than other ones in the party. It's recommended stats are Health, Agility, and Strength. Health is for survival, and it's agility is for increasing mitigation and avoidance chance, so that when the enemy attacks it, it'll either absorb the damage or dodge the whole attack. Strength is simply for increasing physical mitigation and powering its attacks.

Fire is one of the elements of the Proficiency Trees. Like Wind, it is mainly offense, but it deals damage to multiple enemies and the more enemies there are, the more damage it causes. Unlike Wind, it uses Magical Damage instead. It's recommended stats are Intelligence, Dexterity, and Health. Intelligence boosts Magical Damage, which the Wind Element uses, and Dexterity raises the chance of a Critical Hit, the Accuracy Bonus, and the Quickness rating.
